The hydration comes from the beta carotene and shea butter along with the avocado oil that moisturizes and infuses the skin with amino acids, potassium and vitamins. The cream is a light green shade and a very thick consistency in the jar, however, once applied to the delicate under eye area it is quickly absorbed without a greasy feel. If you have dry skin under the eyes it will clear up in a matter of days. It is a luxurious product at a reasonable price.
